New GNT! SP 6 Minute Video!

It's about time for another video! This time it's six minutes long! This has brought my hype up even more! I'm definitely getting this game. Alright, lets look at some of the characters and see what's new.

 -Itachi's Susano has a wide range for attacking, but the downfall is that his health and chakra decreases.
-Jiraiya has a new special involving his Sage Mode, but he could possibly revamped with Sage Mode as a transformation!
-At the end of Minato's combo, he slams his opponent into the wall... Could this be a new stun?
-Killer Bee's combos look bad ass and it seems that he has another special that dashes at your opponent.
-There's also some new type of mode where you walk on a board to do missions and earn titles to use on Wi-Fi. Hopefully Wi-Fi won't be disappointing...

GNT! SP: My thoughts on the upcoming game so far..

  As you can all tell, there's obviously hasn't been any new information on Gektiou Ninja Taisen! SP in two days. I wouldn't worry though, I'm sure there will be a new scan from Shounen Jump online, posted by our fellow friends in Japan.




   Anyway, back to the game. I'm sure all of you as much as I do, that the producers, or who ever these guys are that test the game in those two videos really suck at demonstrating the game. Seriously, even an 8 year old could mash buttons and beat these guys. I think so far, from what I've learned is that the yellow/orange bar is used for KNJ (Kawarimi No Jutsu: AKA, Subsitution jutsu),so that means you don't have to use chakra to sub anymore, and it is also used for "striker attacks". The output the bar gains seems way too high in the video, but I'm sure that there will be options to tinker with it.

  I know you guys think this game will end up being awful, because TOMY in America made it way better than Japan's latest CON/GNT games. I honestly think that Japan will look at Revolution 3's success and use its same code, if not make it similar to Revolution 3. With the new KNJ bar and Revolution 3's fighting game engine, I feel that it will be more similar to Japan's most successful GNT! game, Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen! 4. 

  Now lets focus on the roster. Yes, I know that it might seem strange that Pain, Karin, Juugo, and Suigetsu aren't in the game, because Sage Naruto is in it. But can you all just think for a second? TOMY doesn't try to focus on the story of Naruto. It tries to improve its gameplay, add new characters, and add new mechanics to make it more interesting each installment. Yeah, I know they took Anko, ANBU Kakashi, and Chiyo to add to their installment and they might be not new to you, but they are new to Japan. That's three new characters added from Revolution 3 and  five characters that are added to SP, that were never seen before in an CON/GNT! game. That's eight new characters, from Japan's view. If you guys really want a Naruto fighting game that mainly focuses on the story, then I suggest you to go out and buy Ultimate Ninja Storm 2.

  At last, the roster for Gekitou Ninja Taisen! SPECIAL has been revealed. Now I know what you guys are thinking... "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?! NO PAIN?! NO TEAM TAKA?! RAGE!!1!!!!111!!". In all honesty, I think this game has added enough characters for this installment. TakaraTOMY has created Sage Naruto, Minato, Killer Bee, Raikage, and Ino. And also, threw in Chiyo, Anko and ANBU Kakashi from Clash Of Ninja Revolution 3. I mean think about it, TakaraTOMY adds some characters plus new mechanics to make the game more interesting and fun. TOMY in America fixes their bugs, adds a few mechanics, and a few characters to release as their installment, which will probably be Clash Of Ninja Revolution 4. Who knows?

  Anyway, back to the video. I am very please with Sage Naruto, because he just isn't a simple clone of regular Naruto. I love his BBBBBB. Most of Sage Naruto's combos seem to involve rasengan, which costs chakra. Looks like good balance to me. Minato looks a lot fun too. He teleports a lot and it costs no chakra. Hopefully it's not abused... Sasuke has yet, ANOTHER special: Amaterasu. It kind of bores me, because it's pretty much the same as Kakashi's, but it does have some black flames after effects, which is cool.

GNT! SP: Striking Attacks!

This time there's a new mechanic for squad mode, and it's called "strikers", not assists. Apparently there will be many different types of strikers, other than these ones that are shown below. All the credit goes to Kidd for translating it.

Support Striker: Deals damage

Finisher Striker: Finishes off your combo

Counter Striker: Attacks opponent when you're in hitstun

Break Striker: Breaks opponent's guard.

  I just want to say to all the people who have viewed this blog and yes, even lurkers. Thank you for viewing it. I know it seems like it would be a waste of time for anyone to post information on these next-gen Naruto fighting games, but I've actually enjoyed doing it during my own free time.

  Even though Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 is out, I will still continue posting information on Gekitou Ninja Taisen! SP, and possibly the rumored "Clash Of Ninja Revolution 4". And who knows? Maybe there might be another next-gen Naruto fighting game that's for the PS3/360.

Hooray for crappy Google translation! Here's some more pictures of the co-op squad mode support system, where both players team up together. I really hope we can get more information out of this, because we have yet to find out why the players are glowing a weird aura.

As always, we have are choices the choices of playing up to 4 players in versus mode. Lets just hope that the framerate isn't as bad as EX 3... And look! A move that isn't similar to regular Naruto. It might just be part of a combo, or possibly a ranged special like ANBU Kakashi doing Chidori/Raikiri.

As we can see here, Raikage and Killer Bee get a sexy team special to decapitate their opponent, which in this case is Kisame. Hopefully there will be other new team specials for other characters, such as Naruto (Sage Mode) and Jiraiya.

Man, Raikage's special looks so sick. It looks like he surrounds his body with lightning and pulls a wrestling move on them by grabbing their back, lifts them up in the air and electrifies them when they're slammed to the ground. 

Oh god, looks like Itachi has a new transformation. I really hope that's not the case, but if it is, I'm sure they would make his health slowly go down slowly, similar to Kakashi's. Jeez, it looks like Killer Bee and Raikage have a habit of slamming their opponent into the ground. They both still look bad ass anyway.

Wow, only a couple days after its release, something broken already appeared. I hope either CyberConnect2 releases a patch to fix this, or we end up finding a way to punish it. I'm going to have fun with this for awhile.

Finally! I was getting sick of all the Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 info that was covering the whole page. Well, as you can see here, the picture shows the controls for the classic controller on the screen to the right of it, we can see what looks to be some sort of menu? I think it might be the shop menu with Kisame being covered. Damn, if that were true, then we'll probably have to grind in order to unlock characters, stages, etc. Tell me what you guys think.

First look at an UNS2 online match.

  So far, online looks like it will be awesome for Ultimate Ninja Storm 2.  As you play others in ranked matches, you can search for people around your rank/level. It displays their wins and loses, and their disconnection frequency, which tells you how good your connection is between you, and your opponent. It's displayed as "0/10". "0" being the best connection you could possibly have, and "10" being the worst connection. So now people won't go "WTF! LAG?!" and rage quit, because now they'll know how good the connection is.

  Yes, voice chat is also available. You can turn it "on" or "off" before a match. If it I was you, I would keep my voice chat on, so I can hear my raging opponent screaming in my ear. It makes me giggle.

  One last thing that I would like to point out, is the support characters. This is going to be my first time playing an Ultimate Ninja Storm game, but I like that there's different types of supports you can choose from, such as Attack, Gaurd, and Balance type. You can also use your support characters to do some sort team special (AKA: Ougi), which is also very cool. It reminds me a bit of like Marvel Vs Capcom 2.

I've now just learned that the symbols are actually icons that are customizable,  next to the players' name. This left me kind of disappointed, because I thought it was going to be something special, hence the name of the game  "Special". Ha ha.

Somewhat kind of exciting news though. There's going to be online team squad mode. I've honestly no idea how that is going to work with the connection of four players, or the mechanics of it.

  Finally! I haven't had anything to post for SP in awhile, but here's the new scan! When I look at this scan, I saw that Kakashi had  a little sharingan symbol and had two empty sockets. Naruto two empty sockets, but an orange cloud to the left of the word in hiragana. My guess is that these symbols are some sort of items like a power up, or a certain attacking move that requires the cost of the symbol.

As for the menu at the bottom of Kakashi and Naruto, it looks like it's the Wi-Fi menu, because on the right portion of the menu shows the amount of wins and losses. The menu next to Naruto and Minato, looks to be a menu for the items you've unlocked that can be used in fights.

New commercial for UNS2 has been released. The only new thing I see in this commercial, is that there's going to be a Kakuzu boss fight. That'll be cool if you have to beat him by destroying his hearts one at a time, with the action cinematics of course.

Finally, some good ol' gameplay. I wonder what the yellow bar on the left top corner is. The gain from being hit seems really high when Sage Naruto hits Sasuke... Some people say it's a separate bar for KNJ, I say that it's a RAGE meter. I will be proud of myself, if I'm actually right that is. Sasuke still looks the same, shocker. Sage Naruto doesn't seem that much different from his regular self. I am dissappointed in you TakaraTOMY! Hopefully the next teaser will make me a little more hyped for this game.

Man, I've always wanted to play as a black guy in Naruto and now I can. I am satisfied. My man Killer Bee, better be getting a special for the Eight-Tailed Ox, or I'll rage. I'm really curious what Killer Bee and Raikage's (technically the fourth raikage.) movesets are going to be. 

Improvements, or unqiue moves for squad mode (2 vs 2) seem to be underway for SP, judging from Naruto glowing blue, and Kakashi glowing green and yellow to my knowledge. I seriously cried when I saw Killer Bee and Raikage doing a team special of decapitating Kisame. I'm going to go cry myself to sleep now...

OH MY GOD TakaraTOMY, YOU'VE SAVED US ALL! Now people won't start complaining about Ino not being in the game. Seriously though, why do people want her in the game? She barely did anything in Shippuuden, except posses a bird to scout on what Kakuzu and Hidan were doing, from what I remember. Wi-Fi is obviously confirmed, seeing it in bold letters. Hooray! Lets just hope it has improved from Revolution III...

Sasuke has another special confirmed YET AGAIN! This jutsu is called "Susanoo" I believe, and it's one of the many abilities of Mangekyo Sharingan. Maybe Sasuke could have another back + X transformation for Mangekyo? Sounds epic already. *Prays for a revamped Sasuke*

Shit, looks like TakaraTOMY is being lazy asses again by pulling another character from the Clash Of Ninja series. I swear to fucking god, I hate ANBU Kakashi.... Just kidding.<3 I actually liked him a lot in Revolution III. He has a very sexy moveset.

  It seems that Itachi will be getting some sort of special fire jutsu that curves, then moves upwards... My thoughts are that you probably can control the movement of his special? No? And obviously, we get squad mode, AKA: 2 vs 2. Hopefully they're a little more creative when creating the team specials.

  From seeing the these past few scans, I say that Naruto (Sage Mode) is going to be a separate character. It would be silly for Naruto to have Kyuubi Naruto and Sage Mode as a Back + X transformation anyway.  That rasengan shuriken looks mighty tastey to get blasted in the face with, or possibly decapitated.

Sorry for the late update folks, I've lately been busy with college, looking for a job, and all that fun stuff. Well, as we can see here, Sasuke has a few new specials. For what I know, the picture on the right bottom corner, is Kirin. A powerful, yet original jutsu that uses lighting from clouds, instead of chakra. I can't really tell what the fire jutsu is, so if anyone knows please enlighten me.
